I bought my first one of these on July 15th and received it two days later. Shipping was great. However the big hinge broke on the 24th. I thought no big deal they seem responsive to shipping so I'll just see if they can replace it. Also note that the charging wire was pulling out of the USB plug due to what seemed to be a weak plastic bond that I found as I was taking pictures to attach to my warranty request. Their response was "Hi,

We can replace the clip under warranty, but we cannot replace the adapter cable as that looks like accidental damage.

I thought okay, at least the case is going to get fixed. I just used some contact cement on the cable, pushed it backed into the plug and it's been fine ever since.

Two weeks go by and I haven't heard anything from them. I ask again if there's anything else they need from me. I'm told

The manufacturer will send out a spare clip. Nothing else need to be done on your part.

So I ask how long it will take and I'm told a couple of weeks.

Rain isn't going to wait for them to replace this clip. Having still not received a replacement part I ordered a new one on Sept 4th. Again it arrived in exactly two days on the 6th. Today is Sept 10th and once again the clip is broken.

At this point I don't think it's worth fighting with the vendor and nobody but buybits carries these. Going to the ultimateaddons site redirects you to an htaccess login page. They don't have a storefront or support page of their own.

At this point I'm just going to try to epoxy the clip back together with one kit and may even see if I can fabricate a stronger replacement myself. I doubt it's worth even messing with buybits again.

Installed on my RoadGlide and hit the road. The case is a little bulky and heavy but it works just as advertised. Its kind of a pain to remove the phone if you are getting of the bike alot. For short trips around town I end up leaving the phone in my pocket. But...it kept my phone charged while running GPS Navigation, GPS Tracking and Pandora flawlessly on my recent 23 hour 1000 mile trip. Weeks earlier it performed equily well on a very WET 1500 mile four day trip.

One piece of caution I did not have power to the phone when I initially installed it and had to remove the seat and other pieces to investigate. I found there is a well conceled button on the module to turn it on. I probably would have known that if I had read the instrucions but come on I'm a guy.

Any way Buy it you will love it!

I have bought two of these now. I have to say the "case" is steller for what it does. However Cord needs reinforcing. I have ridden through rain and it holds up. Bad, the that goes into the case is weak as can be at the case end. Had it break in chicago on first day of long ride. Had to solder in a new end. Road 2,500 mile route 66 with this product soldering cord whenever it broke. Bought another set and cord on this broke as well on first day. If they reinforced end of cord at MICRO USB end would get 5 stars.
