I own two of these, I use as my main speakers, I really like them, I am very happy, they are quite heavy but very powerful. I am very happy with the vendor also, one speaker was damaged during shipping and they took care of me right away, no questions asked! Great service.
I definitely recommend these speakers, you won't regret it!
I am also using a center speaker and a Sub. they are all Definitive Technology.

I switched from a 5.1 system to a 7.1, and bought these speakers to replace my Polks as the main speakers, relegating the Polks to surround speakers. These speakers create a spaciousness of sound that the Polks could not reproduce. The bipolar technology definitely makes a difference, especially when listening to a good concert DVD in DTS master audio. You will still need a good subwoofer with these speakers, because they are only adequate to about 60 hertz. You may never get these speakers discounted like some other brands, but they are worth the money spent in my opinion.

The BP10's sound sweet. Real sweet. I don't know what honey Def Tech threw into those tweeters but I have never been disappointed with the tweeters on these speakers. For their price and size, these are some of the best speakers on the market. There is decent mids and bass, but because there is only one mid on each face (back and front) the mids are not as clear as the speakers with a total of 4 mids each. Don't get me wrong they do sound really good. I believe this is the longest standing speaker from Def Tech that is still in production. It's their benchmark. I have these in my home theater system as surrounds and they sound very spacious and picks up on the nuances that is so important in the surround channels. They would do well as mains as well. But I have the flagship BP7000sc speakers as my mains.

Although providing adequate bass if you want the earth shaking movie experience you will need a good subwoofer. Even with my BP7000sc's, I added a sub.

Again I cannot get over how sweet these speakers sound, it defies logic. Great job Def Tech!
